I am FateStylez from Westwood and this is my first ever guide. Do note that I wrote this guide based on what I have observed via own experience, and it would be great that you guys point out any mistakes or things that I have missed. Any comments to enhance this guide are welcome too .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Along with the Level 60 Cap, 2 new nests, namely Typhoon Kim's Nest (TKN) and Professor K's Nest (PKN) are released. Both nests are pretty much a pain in the ass for first timers due to the confusing mechanics each nest has, and currently, I could not find any guide online. I hope that this guide would be able to help players get through the nest and not get instagib-ed all the way.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Points to note : Tankers are not really a must in this nest, however, having one will greatly reduce the load off the dps by bringing those bosses away from them. Stop with the clerics hate man, healers are very important in here as well.
Stage 1 : Proto Omega
The boss in this stage actually has the same model as Shadow of Evil Spirits and share some of the latter's skills.
Basic Mechanics :
- After every fixed timing (Timing not confirmed), the boss will split itself into 2.
- The 2 copies will have their health bar recovered by 1(not confirmed).
- The duplication caps at 16 copies.
- The number of bosses per duplication is 1>2>4>8>16, duplicating a maximum of 4 times in total.
This stage is practically just a 'spam your skills till the boss dies' stage. Whenever the boss is ready to duplicate, there will be a countdown timer and when it reaches 0, the boss would disappear and reappear at the spawn area with 2x the number of bosses.
Stage 2 : Kalamari Dienu and Kalamari ????
There are 2 bosses in this stage, both being friggin Jellyfishes that just irritates the hell out of you.
One uses ice attack and the other uses fire.
Basic Mechanics :
- There will be 2 small platforms at 2 corners of the map. 1 being red and 1 bein g blue.
- When a boss charges a nuke, a notification will appear on the screen.
- To completely evade the nuke, you will need to break the barrier around the corresponding platform and stand on it. e.g The ice boss charges the nuke, you will need to break the blue barrier and then step inside the broken barrier on the platform.
- The nuke is not able to instantly kill someone no matter how low is his/her hp (not confirmed). But it deals around 150k damage
- You do not have to kill the 2 bosses together, you will only need to do it if you're going for the research notes for the hidden mission.
- When 1 of the Jellyfish dies, the other will unleash an AOE nuke that deals heavy damage.
- Avoid standing infront of the Jellyfishes at any time. They are able to use an attack that deals heavy damage overtime right infront of them.
Stage 3 : Improved Ternakrun
This boss has the same model as Mutant's Habitat final boss and share some of the latter's skills.
Basic Mechanics :
- There will be fixed intervals where small beetles/scarab-looking things will appear in the map.
- The boss is able to charge a nuke that is probably able to instagib everyone in the radius.
- The nuke is noticeable by a notification and the appearance of a red radius around the boss.
- The trick to dodging the nuke is to run out of it.
- The small beetles/scarab things are able to self destruct and deal damage to the surroundings (~20k-30k per?). There will be a timer for all of them to explode at one go.
Stage 4 : Fairy Queen Lantana
This boss has the same design as everyone's favourite Meteor Crash Site Boundaries final boss, just that it is now on a darker variant.
Basic Mechanics :
- Her attacks are mainly dark element.
- Conjures a black hole infront of her and starts spitting out tons of darkness balls, (~20k per hit), does not really hurt as much, but will die if standing too close and face tanking everything.
- Able to disappear for a brief moment and summons a black hole.
- The black hole does not deal damage (Not confirmed), however, pillars of light will strike from the air and deals damage to targets struck. (~20k dmg)
- The black hole is usually followed by another skill.
- Lantana will conjure multiple black holes at the perimeter of the map, avoid being near the boss when it is casted.
- After ~40 seconds. Lantana will be able to cast time stop.
- It is able to be broken by spamming left and right arrow keys, however it cannot be relieved by warriors.
- When Lantana uses that skill, mirror images of her would spawn and will strike a primary location after a certain duration. (Exact damage unknown)
Stage 5 : Professor K
Also known as Prof. K. He is able to transform into a bigger form similar to a Hulk that grants him access to new skills and making himself more resilient to damage.
Prof. K has some basic skills that he will use throughout the whole fight when he is not in Hulk Form.
The most prominent being, Summoning a round-saw infront of the unit he's sitting on, and then charging through a straight line, dealing damage to anyone along the way. It does not really hurt when just scratching past, but it will take a great deal of your hp away if you face tank it.
When transforming to Hulk form, Prof K would always teleport to the middle of the map first.
Utterly unbearable body odor : Prof K is able to launch out poison pools that will deal heavy damage on impact and leaves a poisoned debuff on affected targets.
RUNNNNN : Prof. K will first fly towards the sky. The arena will then be filled with round-saws moving at highspeed at random paths. Deals moderate to heavy damage.
Hp Bar 5 > 4 :
Nothing special. Just tank and spank that bald idiot and try not to take too much damage from god knows what reason.
Hp Bar 4 > 3 :
When Prof's K hp reaches 4 Bar, he will transform into a Hulk look-alike that grants him new abilities.
Look at mah s3xy jump : Prof. K will jump into the sky and slam downwards almost immediately. (similar to manticore slam), anyone in the primary strike radius will probably get instagibb-ed. (~150k dmg)
Why the f**k is this guy suddenly so thick : When Prof. K is in Hulk form, his health is considerably thicker as compared to when he's the wimp on a machine.
Some slaps and a smash? : Ok, I have no idea how to name this. He is able to just go up close and personal with you and slap the hell out of you. Have fun flying if you don't have super armor on. (~10-20k dmg per hit)
Stomps the ground like a baws : Prof. K stomps the ground and the ground cracks in ~8 directions up to a certain distance away from the boss. Standing on the cracks does no deal damage, the damage is only dealt at each ends of the crack. (~35-50k dmg)
PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW : Prof K will crouch as if he has constipation for a few seconds before releasing this attack, run as far as possible when it happens. After charging, lightning will strike from the sky dealing ~80k per hit on the strike radius. The point of running away is to allow more running space to dodge the nukes
Hp Bar 3 > 2 :
This is when Prof K turns back into a useless old man and gets slapped his way to 2 bar health.
Hp Bar 2 > 1 :
A new mechanic is introduced here, apart from Prof. K turning into a Hulk once again. A hound will spawn and a specific area of the map is marked with lightning forming a field around it.
When Prof. K turns into a Hulk, he will be invincible and go around slapping's people's ass until someone hits the hound into the lightning field. This will remove his invincibility and the lightning field that's a pain to your eyes.
Hp Bar 1.5 > 0 :
Prof. K also gains a new skill when his health reaches ~ 1.5 Bar. He remains a Hulk throughout this stage.
Smell my fart : Prof K is able to summon poison fields that shoots out in 3 waves. Deals high damage and leaves a poison-ed effect on targets struck. Note that it is able to evade it by standing behind others or having a force user put up her s3xy mirror to block it.
.
It is able to avoid the fart too by jumping over and towards the next wave of poison 3 times. Though good precision is required for this to work.
Do note that when Prof. K's hp reaches 1 hp bar, the hound mechanic will be triggered again.
Hidden Missions and Stage in Prof. K Nest :
For both lvl 60 nests, there are hidden missions that when fulfilled, unlocks a bonus chest at the end of the nest which obviously, provides more loots.
In Prof. K Nest, the hidden mission involves around collecting Professor K's Diary. There are a total of 5 notes to be collected for the bonus chest to spawn, however, the 5th note can only be obtained if the previous 4 are collected in the same run.
Stage 1 : Proto Stupid Duplicating Omega
As mentioned, the boss is able to duplicate itself to a maximum of 16, from 1>2>4>8>16, meaning there are 4 duplications. To obtain Professor K's Diary #1, all of the Proto Omegas must be killed before the 3rd duplication. This means that there must only be 4 Proto Omegas present and slain, not 8, to obtain the Diary.
Stage 2 : A couple of Jellyfishes that really, irritates the hell out of me.
To obtain Professor K's Diary #2, the pair of Jellyfishes must be killed together within a short time interval (Time interval not confirmed). The mechanic here is actually pretty similar to Cerberus Nest's twin Minotaur and the trick to getting the Diary is to balance both Jellyfish's health and kill them both when they are low enough.
Stage 3 : Improved Ternakun, screw improved, it's still a giant bug.
At every intervals when the small beetles/scarabs spawn, there is a chance that Professor K's mimic will also spawn along with them. To obtain Professor K's Diary #3, the mimic must be killed before it disappears. The mimic disappears when the beetles/scarabs of that particular wave self distructs.
Stage 4 : Not so genius Fairy Queen who thinks she's pretty. (Ok maybe she is...)
Ok screw it this stage is hard. The Fairy Queen must be killed before she starts using the skill that freezes everyone, the timer before that happens is around 40 seconds. Force User/Acrobats are very important here as it is really hard to kill it within 40 seconds even with full lvl 60 gear-ed party.
Hidden Stage - Stage 5 : Semi-transparent Cerberus that thinks that it has swag. #nope.
When your party obtains all 4 pieces of the Diary, a portal to enter the hidden stage will appear after the Fairy Queen dies. In the stage, a Semi-transparent Cerberus will be present, the Cerberus must be killed within a certain duration to obtain the final piece of the Diary. As of now, the duration is not known.
Extra Notes : For Professor K's Diary #1 to #4, the Diaries are automatically added to your inventory when the objective is completed, there is no need to go around the map trying to find it on the floor. However, for Diary #5, the diary will spawn on some crates in the Hidden Stage after the Cerberus is slain.
