Dragon Nest Level 70 Cap: Destruction of Saint Haven

Your favorite town in Lagendia is bound to face turmoil. Remember the times when you and your friends are just casually talking by the fountain near Events Planner Irine? Treasure it. Remember the times when you have to look for Green Dragon Nest and Typhoon Kim Nest parties in front of the Garden of Space of Time portal? Hold on to it forever. Remember the active nights at our guild’s headquarters, cafe, where everyone is oh-so willingly afk-ing and talking stuff with one another? Those times will be history in the Destruction of Saint Haven, and it is an inevitable truth. A new era will be born from the ashes of great destruction.
Since we’re talking about the new era in here, and it’s definitely not too long before we get it into our hands, it is good to share a bit of the information known to the unknowing world. And yes, by new era, I do mean the New Saint Haven and the ever-awaited Level 70 Cap, dubbed as the Destruction of Saint Haven. The new level cap introduces a myriad of new features and major-major revamps in game mechanics and experience, and it is a little notch higher than the excitement we had over the introduction and release of the tertiary jobs, a.k.a. the 50 Cap. In here, you will know what we already know, and prepare for it in the remaining months of our current cap. Without further ado, let’s get it started.
The New Saint Haven
New Saint Haven
After Saint Haven was attacked by the Black Dragon, the town was reconstructed to continue accommodating all heroes and townspeople in Lagendia. The damage was severe, so it would make sense that the changes to our favorite town is intense, as well. A new Saint Haven theme is also introduced, and there are lots of new places to go about and ponder if you have free time.
Map of NSH
Map of the New Saint Haven. A lot re-positioned NPCs and portals to instances, and an opened portal to the new instance called Anu Arendel, the land of the elven race (Archers) in the game.
Aesthetically-speaking, the New Saint Haven is hands down awesome and beautiful. The developers did a good job in revamping it. The design is top-notched, of course, and boredom won’t be visiting you anytime soon. Naturally, portals to Foothills of Black Mountain, Hermalte Port, and Riverwort Wharf have been re-positioned, together with the Garden of Time and Space, Dark Lair, and Wonderful Theme Park. The Royal Castle has been moved to the topmost part of the map, and an awe-amazing statue of the Goddess Altea stands proudly at the center of the town. NPCs are scattered across the map, and a lot of new areas can be played at, as well.
Anu Arendel instance is also open, and it holds the new cap dungeons. It is the land of the elves, Archers, in the game. It also has important NPCs to it, and is a one-area field.

Five dungeons can be explored and accomplished for level 60 and above characters to gain experience and reach the new level cap. Easy mode is also removed, which leaves us with Normal, Hard, Master, and Abyss modes to complete depending on the players. The new dungeons are: Bronze Forest RoadDistant Sand Sea, Golden Meadow, Lunar Eclipse Valley, and Vanishing Moon Desert (localization of the dungeons may be different in Dragon Nest SEA).
New Skills: Level 65 Passives, Level 70 EX
A new level cap means a new goal to reach, and reaching the goal has rewards coming with it. Yes, two new skills are introduced in the this level cap, one is a passive skill, and the other is the fourth EX of the class in its respective skill tree. This, more or less, improves the gaming experience of players with their characters, and a higher-tier of board damages can be accessed, as well. Here is the summary of the skills for all the classes:
Level 65 Passives are all to further improve and specialize the tertiary classes from their counterparts. The developers are aiming to emphasize the key differences of the classes and their role in a party setup, which is very important in the game. All the fourth EXs were major boosts to the level 32 skills (Detonate is level 26, but it follows Chain Lightning EX), improving, or altering, the the class damage output and even utility in PvE and PvP.
New Nests: Guardian Nest, Mist Nest
Minotaur Nest for the 24 Cap, Cerberus Nest for the 32 Cap, Manticore Nest and Apocalypse Nest for the 40 Cap, Archbishop Nest and Gigantes Nest for the 50 Cap, Typhoon Kim Nest and Professor K Nest for the 60 Cap; you know the trend. A new cap means a brand new challenge to face. As the story unfolds, new enemies come. Heroes from all over Lagendia will be challenging two new forces of evil.
Guardian Nest
Bosses of Guardian Nest (from left to right): Green Sage Oguru, Angry Aira Venom, Great Zuks Arks, Ignacio Gigantes, and Guardian of the New Moon Fel.
Guardian Nest will be released earlier than the second nest, similar to the Archbishop-Gigantes Nest trend back in the 50 Cap. The nest is composed of four mini-stages with the mini-bosses stopping heroes from spoiling their evil plans. Similarly, new nest equips and items can be obtained upon completion, and thrills and spills of a run with friends is gonna keep you returning for more.
Mist Nest is the second nest of the 70 Cap, composed of several mini-stages, namely Monitoring Watch Tower, Barking Forest, Rusty Mist Tomb, Chain Wind Hill, Wolf King’s Lair, and the boss stage. Unlike Guardian Nest which is solely composed of mini-bosses to defeat, there are stages present that are completely mechanics-based. One more thing to take note is the healing AoE available after one stage is cleared. It is considered to be a wee bit more challenging due to its intricate mechanics, but much like all the previous nests, it’ll be fun and less hectic as experience come by.

The Dragon Jade System
This is probably one of the new features introduced to Dragon Nest that would need to be elaborated to be understood completely, but the whole gist of this new system for item building removes the potential and suffix systems that we currently have. Yes, codes for potentials and pacultas for suffixing will be completely wiped out. Instead, new items called dragon jades are introduced, changing the whole course of building characters and classes with their equipment. I wouldn’t want to confuse you about this whole new thing, but there have been guides and in-depth analyses made to compare the old and new systems.
Black Dragon Nest
Once again, following the trend of eight-man nest runs, a.k.a. dragon raids, the fourth dragon to wreak havoc in Lagendia is the Black Dragon. Following the events of Saint Haven’s destruction, the new dragon must be slayed and justice will be served. Serpentra the Sea Dragon, Karahan the Green Dragon, and Jakard the Desert Dragon will be crying foul over this new beast, and players will once again be immersed in a brand new experience of epic team play and proportions.
Assassin Class
You heard that right. A new class will be released in the new level cap, adding one more to the seven characters in the game. Together with the four original classes, Warrior, Archer, Cleric, and Sorceress, as well as the two newly-introduced in the proceeding level caps, Academic and Kali, theAssassin will take the stage and the hearts of the new and old players, alike. The class, of course, follows a similar trend in skills from the ones before it, and equipment types from the more recent releases. An addition to the mega-DPS and semi-support array, this class will be sought after by everyone.
The class has two specializations, namely the Chaser and the Bringer (unreleased, unconfirmed). The Chaser would then specialize further into the Raven and Ripper classes, both physical-elemental classes (the former is dark-elemental while the latter is fire-elemental). The planned Bringer is expected to specialize into the Light Fury and Abyss Walker classes, also physical-elemental classes. These are just at the surface as there are more to the Assassin than meets the eye, and much like the Kali and Academic taking months, and even years to completely explore, this class is going to have to wait before having the full potential released. Stoked for the class? He is coming soon.

The Story Continued!
The development of the Dragon Nest story line has been keeping lore keepers restless. This level cap unfolds with the continuation of the much-watched progress of the in-game characters, both the protagonists and the dark side. An array of shocking truths and revelations will be waiting to be uncovered. Players will be on their best watchful eyes and ears for whatever comes, and the game just keeps on getting more and more exciting as the caps come by.
